Winkler Knives Axe: Hunter Axe LT

The Hunter LT is a smaller multi-role axe designed with for camping and hunting when you might not want to have a big, heavy axe to lug around. Big enough for general task in the great outdoors. The full tang has been skeletonized for weight reduction, but stays strong thanks to the .280 thick stock. Bearded profile with thicker handle near the blade for finer work and scraping/shaving, and thinner handle at the butt end for better grip when chopping.

The Blade: Convex ground with nice curve for maximized cutting edge length and strength on small profile and finished with Caswell black oxide finish.

The Handle: Contoured profile with hole for lanyard/hand strap. Skeletonized tang for weight savings and optimal balancing.

The Sheath: Kydex scabbard with soft liner and nylon snap loops. Shock cord retention system for fast deployment.

Note: Winkler products are hand finished. Every scale has been hand contoured, and sculpting is done by hand. Additionally, materials vary a little bit, whether it be due to natural variations in wood, different batches of micarta or G10, or anything else.
