Hinderer Knives

Rick Hinderer started making knives in a turkey coop, turning out blades you probably would not expect considering his current designs. Over the years with experience as a first responder, he started moving away from art knives, and to more ‘tactical’ style blades. These experiences lead to design changes and innovations like the Hinderer Lockbar Stabilizer, designed after an experience of damaging the lock bar on a folder due to over-extension. His knives are known for superb ergonomics, precision tolerances and the ability to change parts to better customize each tool to the user. His current folders integrate his Tri-Way Pivot System, allowing the user to fine tune the action to the mission’s requirements.
