Winkler Knives Fixed: SD-2 (Original Tapered Tang Version)

This is the original tapered tang version of the famous SD-2. A tapered tang is done to make the knife lighter and more balanced. Several years ago, Winkler Knives discontinued the tapered tang and started using a 'skeletonized tang' to accomplish the same goals. We have a few of the original tapered tang versions left. Once they are gone, they are GONE!

We also have the current skeletonized tang version with kydex sheath and with DeSantis Gunhide leather sheath.

The SD-2 (Standard Duty 2) is a great lightweight EDC blade designed for both inside and outside the waistband carry. Like its brother the SD-1, the slimmer blade is great for your every day tasks while not being obtrusive.

The Blade: the flat ground drop point profile is an excellent all-round performing profile, great for finer cutting tasks, with Caswell black oxide finish. Tapered tang for weight savings and balance.

The Handle: Contoured profile with lanyard/wrist strap hole.

The Sheath: Molded kydex sheath with clip, perfect for IWB. Or, add your preferred mounting solution for the carry method that suits you. 

Note: Winkler products are hand finished. Every scale has been hand contoured, and sculpting is done by hand. Additionally, materials vary a little bit, whether it be due to natural variations in wood, different batches of micarta or G10, or anything else.
