Winkler Knives Axe: Medic Axe

Engineered for specialty team medics, the Rescue Axe was designed to pull double duty as a hybrid rescue/combat axe. The more compact design means it is easy to take with your wherever you go, but large enough oto be usefull in almost any situation. The head has a semi bearded design that allows for better control on finer work whick still being able to cut through whatever you aim it at. The rear end of the head has a pointed but unsharpened breaker spike that can be used to grab our of reach straps and cables as well as punture sheet metal for the opener feature., The handle end features a claw-like "can opener" that can eat through thin metals when you are in confined spaces and can't get a full swing. The handle portion right beneath the head is made from paracord, giving you ample grip and a is able to be used in a pinch and easily replaced. Full tang with skeletonized design for weight loss and better balance.

The Blade: Convex ground optimized for long cutting strokes and finished with Caswell black oxide finish. Breaker tip for easy entry and hook for grabbing out of reach harnesses and belts.

The Handle: Contoured profile with skeletonized, full tang for weight savings and optimal balancing. Butt end can-opener cutting tool.

The Sheath: Kydex scabbard with soft liner and nylon snap loops. Shock cord retention system for fast deployment.

Note: Winkler products are hand finished. Every scale has been hand contoured, and sculpting is done by hand. Additionally, materials vary a little bit, whether it be due to natural variations in wood, different batches of micarta or G10, or anything else.
