TAS Knives Fixed Blade: Butcherling - Acidwashed/Green
The Butcherling from TAS Knives is a toned down kitchen cleaver fit for a Stormtrooper chef. The chunky cleaver-style blade makes it an excellent chopper, yet is thin enough behind the edge for it to excel at a variety of cutting tasks including peeling corellian potatoes during breaks between battles with separatist droids. The blade has been given a two tone green Cerakote and acid washed finish and features a hole to hang this little guy up when not in use. The handle construction consists of a bottom layer of durable ePAHT plastic, 3D-printed for extra resilience, and a top layer of titanium with a partially painted plate for added style and contoured for a solid and secure grip. The butt-end features a lanyard hole and pry bar. Comes with a kydex sheath ready for your preferred mounting solution.
The Blade: Hand compound ground cleaver profile with atwo tone green and acidwashed finish for a rugged battleworn look.
The Handle: Contoured 3D printed handle scales topped off with titanium slabs that have been given a tumbled and green coated finish.
TAS Knives are hand crafted by designer and maker Soso Tumasov from Tbilisi, Georgia (as in the country Georgia not the state). Many of Soso's pieces have an unique almost cyberpunk, futuristic apocalypse vibe to them, setting them apart from most of the blades you see on the market today. On top of the killer aesthetics, he also incorporates complex multi angle grind lines in his blades that truly show off his talent and dedication to the craft and is amazing at finishing common knife making materials such as titanium in a very innovative manner for an end result that stands out and execution that actually delivers.
