The Smooth Criminal is a new take on Medford's design ethos, with a more compact, lightweight style emphasizing on speed and mobility versus brute force. The most noticeable change is that the Smooth Criminal is a button lock flipper riding on bearings. Out of the box, you get a super smooth flipping action in a compact package. The button lock flipper design means that the knife is a breeze to operate whether bare handed or with gloves. The button lock also allowed Medford to move to a lighter aluminum frame, adding to the 'light and fast' vibe. But don't let all that "lightweight and compact" talk fool ya - it's still a Medford!
