About Defiant7: While the name Defiant7 may be new and unfamiliar, the guys behind it all are well known to the custom knife world: Les George and Chad Nichols.
Les George has a long established reputation as a custom knife maker, designer, and machining ninja. Aside from his custom work, Les has been doing in house production versions of his designs the past several years with the crazy popular VECP, ESR, Talos, etc.
Chad Nichols has been the guy pushing the boundaries of materials with his stainless Damascus and mokuti under the Nichols Damascus banner. What is not as widely known is that Chad works quite a bit behind the scenes with custom knife makers to get their designs into a production format.
Defiant7 is the cumulation of Les and Chad's experience, skills, and passion for craftsmanship. They wanted to start a company that was not a 'company', but rather a sandbox where they were free to create and produce their knives on their terms.
About the Cruiser Axe: The D7 Cruiser Axe is a no-nonsense tool, ready to take on a number of 'hawk roles. The head is a versatile design, with large, broad main cutting edge ready to slice and chop. The bearded design allows you to choke up for finer work. The full tang has contoured, textured G10 handle scales that fill your grip. The grip scales are removable for easy cleaning. The Cruiser has been finished with a tough, corrosive resistant Cerakote finish. Comes with a stellar Chattanooga Leatherworks edge cover and leather loop carrier.
