What what? A MSC XL with a real hamon? AND full Manhattan Project texture on blade and frame AND a MSC damascus clip? Dropping the mic here kiddies, it don't get much cooler.

The Blade: One thing for sure about Mick as an artist, is that he never stays still and is always evolving. Fancy way of saying: this blade is freaking sick! A masterful, full on gnarly, Nightmare Grind that Mick differentially heat treated to give a gorgeous hamon. Mick has been using some crazy, secret, 'Manhattan Project' machine that actually impregnates other metals onto surfaces and textures. The flats of the blade have been finished with a copper texture that compliments the vintage vibe of the hamon nicely.

The Frame: Mick's Manhattan Project strikes again on the frame with ridiculously cool, almost like a wood grain in the titanium! Also, Mick's "magic" multi color anodizing looks extra bitchin' with the texture. All titanium hardware with satin natural finish. Oh yeah: AND it has a custom sculpted clip made from Mick Strider forged damascus!

What is a hamon anyway?: A hamon is the visual indication of the blade being differentially heat treated. Long ago before we had all the super steel alloys we have today, sword makers realized the harder they made the steel the better it performed when cutting. However, if it is too hard, it could become brittle as it cannot 'absorb' shocks. Thus the blades were differentially heat treated keeping the edge at a higher hardness level for cutting performance, and the spines 'softer' for durability. During heat treating, you would often see a difference in color for the different hardness levels.
