The 187 DP is from the Medford 'Deployment Series' that was started as a way to get a hard use, 100% American made, hand ground knife into the hands of those who need it without breaking the bank. In other words: it has everything you need and nothing you don't. The 187 DP folder is constructed with a thick (.187 in) titanium lock side. The 187 DP model has a drop point profile (hence the "DP"). It is double hollow ground by hand and can be easily deployed using the thumb hole. The 187 DP is the largest folder in the Deployment Series. However, it is still easy to carry thanks to its narrow overall profile The handle shape along with the jimping on the spine provide a sure grip as well as the ability to "choke up" your grip for fine work.
