The XM-SLIPPY is Hinderer's newest model for 2017. The Slippy is an excellent little slipjoint based on the XM-18 3 inch model, but aside from the locking mechanism features some new innovations! Both sides of the frame feature a titanium liner with textured G10 scales. The blade features Hinderer's new adjustable Thumb Track opening system. This is a hybrid of a nail nick of a traditional folding knife and a thumb disk opener of a tactical style knife. The blade features a milled channel that acts as the nail nick/opening groove for the blade, but has a removable thumb disk that can be positioned to your liking to aid in one hand opening of the blade. With or without the thumb disk, the SLIPPY looks natural. Being a slipjoint with a blade of 3 inches, it is permissible in most environments you can carry a pocket knife. Works with standard Hinderer Knives pocket clips and filler tabs.
The Blade: The Hinderer Slicer blade profile is especially good at -you guessed it- slicing! The Slicer is similar to a spearpoint profile, but with a primary grind that sort of angles up towards the tip, resulting in a little bit thinner and "more slicey-like" tip. Finished with a smooth, finely tumbled finish The Frame: Tumbled titanium liners with dual textured G10 scales.
Note: Last three pictures may not show actual knife variation.
