About this model: The standard Large Sebenza 21 is the workhorse of the Chris Reeve line. Its blade has a stonewashed (tumbled) finish. The titanium frame is bead blasted. The lanyard pin, thumb stud, and rear spacer are all anodized blue. The Insingo blade profile is unique in that it combines elements of a sheepsfoot/wharncliffe blade, yet still has a subtile curve to its cutting edge to provide increased utility.
About the Sebenza: Since 1990 The Chris Reeve Sebenza (Zulu word for work) has set the standard for what is possible in a precision manufactured folding knife. Chris Reeve developed the Sebenza Integral Lock (commonly referred to as a frame lock) which is concept of a handle slab to be used as the lock bar for the blade resulting in exceptional strength for hard use. The current Sebenza 21 model represents the accumulation of more than 20 years of experience and user feedback. It is based on the Classic Sebenza with subtle improvements such as: The front of the handle now as a chamfer (beveled) angle making it easier to insert into a pocket or pouch. The lanyard hole in the frame has been replaced with an anodized lanyard pin.
