The Strider  SMF was initially developed for a military unit that required a tough as nails knife in a folding package. The SMF has a full titanium frame lock that provides a stronger lock up than some fixed blades. The CC stands for "concealed carry" the edges of both the G-10 and titanium are sightly radiused. This makes for a slightly thinner knife and smooth grip. Perfect for every day carry as it makes carrying a large folder easy. The 3/4 grind means that the primary hollow ground bevel does not go all the way to the spine as the normal flat ground SMF's do. We get asked many times what the difference between the 3/4 grind and normal flat grind. Don't over think this. It is mostly an aesthetic (as in looks) thing. Some folks have a preference for one or the other. Both will serve you well and perform as a Strider should. Both are plenty strong and warrantied for life.
