The new Strider SMF Aluminum model features the same bombproof design and features but the G10 scale has been replaced with aluminum. There are lateral grooves for improved grip as well as a snazzy Strider logo engraved. It has been mil spec hard coat anodized and has the benefit of being able to be placed in an autoclave for sterilization for medical personell. The green aluminum scale configuration is exclusive to Monkey Edge. 
 
About CPM S35VN: CPM S35VN is stainless steel that is basically a product improved version of CPM S30V. There is an addition of Niobium to the alloy which results in better edge retention and toughness as well as corrosion resistance when compared to CPM S30V.
