Private Andrew Miller was serving as a combat medic with the Canadian Army's 2nd Field Ambulance, 1 RCR BG in support of Operation Enduring Freedom when he was K.I.A. in Kandahar, Afghanistan on June 26, 2010 by an IED. This hat is being sold as a tribute to him and proceeds are being donated to The Stars and Stripes Foundation.The Stars and Stripes Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non profit charity that works with other charities including the Wounded Warrior Project to raise money to support military members and their families.

Andrew along with his parents are members of The Usual Suspect Network and it was there that Andrew's dad revealed this hats special story. The hat is a replica of a run Strider had produced years ago of which one was gifted to Andrew for helping out the Strider Knives crew. The hat became a favorite of Andrew's and it deployed with him to Afghanistan and was eventually recovered along with his personal effects and delivered to his family. As a way to celebrate Andrew and to raise some funds for a great cause, Strider agreed to produce a limited run of hats styled like the original with the addition of the Canadian flag and ACM198 on the side. The first run of this hat sold out in no time flat and Andrew's family and Strider Knives graciously authorized a second and final run.
