The Strider SLCC is about the perfect every day carry, hideout, fixed blade. Its distinct handle configuration keeps the overall length shorter than a conventional fixed blade, yet still provides a hand-filling grip. While perfect as a thin backup blade, the SLCC grip in bare metal can be uncomfortable for doing hard work. Monkey Edge has worked with our pals at VZ Grips to develop a set of G10 scales that can be added to the SLCC. These grips purposely add a bit of width to the handle that make it much more comfortable in the hand and spreads the force of thrusts out over a larger area in your palm. The Monkey Edge FRAG Grip texture is recessed into the panel to provide grip, yet not be abrasive next to the skin or clothing while carrying concealed.
Precision machined of G10 by VZ Grips in their USA factory. These grips have two anchor points on the SLCC skeleton grip to prevent them from rotating and keep them secure and yet still allow for use of a lanyard/tether.
The SLCC has been made in several sizes over the years. These grips are for the "standard" handle size. They will NOT fit the smaller versions (like some of the T.A.D. Gear and Monkey Edge exclusive versions).
Note: The anchor points are sized for the most prolific sizes of the holes. However, over the years, the size of these holes has varied a bit. Some hand fitting of the hole bosses of the grips may be required. A bit of careful filing or a Dremmel takes care of it.
